Jurnal Administrasi Negara wants to ensure that all authors are careful and comply with international standards for academic integrity, especially in plagiarism.

Plagiarism occurs when an author takes ideas, information, or words from another source without proper credit for the source. Even if it happens unintentionally, plagiarism is still a serious academic offense and cannot be accepted in international academic publications.

When authors study specific information ( names, dates, places, statistical numbers, or other detailed information) from specific sources, citations are required. (This is only excusable in the case of common knowledge, where data is available in more than five sources or common knowledge, for example, the fact that Indonesia is the world's most populous Muslim country.)

When authors take ideas from other authors, citations are necessary even if the authors later develop the ideas further. These may be ideas about how to interpret the data, what methodology to use, or what conclusions to draw. These may be ideas about broad developments in the field or general information. Regardless of the idea, the author must cite the source. In cases where the writer develops the idea further, it is still necessary to cite the source of the idea, and then in the following sentence, the writer can explain his or her more developed idea.

When an author takes words from another author, quotations and quotation marks are required. Whenever four or more consecutive words are identical to a source read by an author, the author must use quotation marks to indicate the other author's use of the original words; just a quote is no longer enough.

Jurnal Administrasi Negara takes academic integrity very seriously, and the Editor reserves the right to withdraw acceptance of a paper that violates any of the above standards. For further information, prospective authors can contact the editorial office at adibaaishaamira@gmail.com.
